Cake Pops

After seeing cake pops everywhere, I decided to try my hand at the tasty treats.  Richard and I created these deliciously festive treats by using pumpkin cake and cream cheese frosting. We then dipped the cake pops in white chocolate and decorated them with candy creatures, sprinkles, and frosting.
Having styrofoam to stick the drying cake pops in was key!

I took them to work and needless to say people were impressed. These creatures are easy to create, but do take some time. My recommendation, do this project in stages! Happy baking!

I posted this "before" picture a while back. I'm finally ready to share some of my creations. I have to photograph the spider and the spooky sign (painted by bf).

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you had a nice weekend. I enjoyed a little bit of relaxations, warm weather while watching the Blue Angles, and some crafting!

My warm weather outfit: Skirt and hat from Marmalade, lace top from Ambiance,
Sunglasses from F21, necklace hand made

No matter how many times I see the Blue Angles fly, I am always amazed!
My new fall lip color: Laura Mercier Violet
It's parent-teacher conference week, so wish me luck! Have a great week!

Time for Boots

As the weather cools down and the rain starts I find myself looking through my closet for proper footwear. After dusting off my boots, I have decided that a boot update might be necessary. I have two great pairs of over the knee boots, but need something a little more versitle. I want something with style, maybe a little heel, that I can wear to work and on the weekend. Pretty tall order! Here is what I have found so far.

Monday's Trio

Happy Monday! This weekend I did a great job of relaxing. I have been so swamped the last couple of weeks that a weekend at home was just what I needed. Plus, a little shopping at the Bloomingdale's Friends and Family sale sure brightened up my weekend!

A little something new from Burberry! Bloomies Friends and Family sale rocks! This piece deserves its own post, so stay tuned!
The before shot of my Halloween Decorations. The final result sure is glittery!
How cool does this nail polish look? I can't wait to try it!
Have a fantastic week!

Vegas!

Two weekends ago, I went to vegas to celebrate the engagement of one of my very best friends! We had a fantastic time; good drinks, good food, good dancing, and most of all, great company! While in Vegas, one must always seize the opportunity to wear sequins. Here are some of the highlights from the trip!

Congrats to Kira!

Monday's Trio

I hope that you had a fantastic weekend! I definitely needed a break after what was truly an awful week. After dealing with the aftermath of my unfortunate Friday, all day Saturday, I had a relaxing Sunday. Brunch at Greens, a walk through the Farmers Market, and a new nail polish was just what the doctor ordered.

Beautiful day with a beautiful friend!
I highly recommend having brunch at Greens, in San Francisco.  They have unique dishes, a beautiful location, and pastries to die for! I have been there several times, and have yet to be disappointed. I meant to snap some pictures of the food, but I guess was a little too hungry, because I dug in, before taking out my camera.

Flowers from the Farmer's Market
Another bonus of having Sunday brunch at Green's is the walking through the Fort Mason Farmer's Market.  They have delicious produce, beautiful flowers, and music.

Glitter always makes me smile! (Sephora by OPI Traffic-Stopper Copper and Nonfat Soy Half Caff)

Hopefully this week will be dramatically better!

Work Attire

Happy Tuesday! I hope you had a fantastic weekend. I was in Las Vegas celebrating the engagement of one of my best friends! We had such a great time, it only makes me wish that I can see them more!  Fall is on its way, and I find myself looking for some new updates to my wardrobe. Here is an outfit that I think would be perfect for a brisk Fall day.  I am definitely loving that leopard print Tory Burch bag (but I love everything she does) and the Anthropologie Swing Coat.

Mad Men

I finally went to Banana Republic to check out the Mad Men Collection, and let me just say, WOW! I probably tried on every piece and loved everything. I decided on this dress, because I thought it would be perfect for Back To School Night.  I plan to pair it with pearls and nude heals.

Obsession

I hope you had a fantastic long weekend! I did a lot of nothing, which is exactly what I needed. I did spend quite a bit of time browsing online and became obsessed with a Kate Spade bag. What do you think?

Have a great short work week!

Monday's Trio

Two weekends ago I went to one of my favorite stores, the JCrew Outlet. I always find the best deals there and this time was no exception.  I have a fondness for their jewelry and walked away with two necklaces. I am saving one to wear with my 'first day of school outfit,' but have already worn the other one several times this week.

Two new lipsticks by Revlon: Stormy Pink & Kiss Me Coral

Beautiful flowers on the way up to Napa

Happy Monday!

Wild Ride

Last weekend I went up to Santa Rosa to go on a safari. It was awesome; the animals were so close, you could reach out and touch them (ok, you weren't actually allowed to touch them. The point, that you could, if you were a rule breaker).  My favorite had to be the giraffes and the zebras.

Each one has a different pattern

Have a great weekend!

Caribbean

Happy Friday all! In between my lesson planning, I am spending time reminiscing about my summer vacation; in particular, my cruise.  I love to look back over the pictures from this fantastic trip. Here are a few of my highlights!

On St. Maarten heading to the water taxi that will take us to the shops!

Jewelry stand on Barbados

We are coming back from snorkeling with the sea turtles (please excuse the funky hair)

I had so many drinks that were made with coconuts. DELICIOUS!

This little boat drove up and down the water selling fruit and mixed drinks served in coconuts.

Frozen mojito for me (everything is better blended)

My beautiful sister and her husband at a formal night

I hope that you have a fantastic weekend! I am going on safari (yep, thats right!). Stay tuned for pictures.
