Cake Pops

After seeing cake pops everywhere, I decided to try my hand at the tasty treats.  Richard and I created these deliciously festive treats by using pumpkin cake and cream cheese frosting. We then dipped the cake pops in white chocolate and decorated them with candy creatures, sprinkles, and frosting.
Having styrofoam to stick the drying cake pops in was key!

I took them to work and needless to say people were impressed. These creatures are easy to create, but do take some time. My recommendation, do this project in stages! Happy baking!

Monday's Trio

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you had a nice weekend. I enjoyed a little bit of relaxations, warm weather while watching the Blue Angles, and some crafting!

My warm weather outfit: Skirt and hat from Marmalade, lace top from Ambiance,
Sunglasses from F21, necklace hand made

No matter how many times I see the Blue Angles fly, I am always amazed!
My new fall lip color: Laura Mercier Violet
It's parent-teacher conference week, so wish me luck! Have a great week!

Time for Boots

As the weather cools down and the rain starts I find myself looking through my closet for proper footwear. After dusting off my boots, I have decided that a boot update might be necessary. I have two great pairs of over the knee boots, but need something a little more versitle. I want something with style, maybe a little heel, that I can wear to work and on the weekend. Pretty tall order! Here is what I have found so far.

  5. Glittering pumpkins with Liz
  6. Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks
  7. Sewing Halloween costumes for Richard and myself
  8. Fall layers

Monday's Trio

Happy Monday! This weekend I did a great job of relaxing. I have been so swamped the last couple of weeks that a weekend at home was just what I needed. Plus, a little shopping at the Bloomingdale's Friends and Family sale sure brightened up my weekend!

A little something new from Burberry! Bloomies Friends and Family sale rocks! This piece deserves its own post, so stay tuned!
The before shot of my Halloween Decorations. The final result sure is glittery!
How cool does this nail polish look? I can't wait to try it!
Have a fantastic week!
