Color Lust

As I sit on my couch browsing the internet after a long day of work, I noticed a patterned starting to emerge. I am strangely drawn to all things melon or orange colored.  I think it will be the perfect juicy color to transition into spring...now only if the weather would cooperate. I think SF is destined for some rain this week. (Is it bad that I am already wishing for spring?)

I immediately fell in love with the BCBG pumps, but need to decide whether or not I will feel too tall in them (at almost 5'10" with out heels I can sometimes be self conscious).

I'm counting the days until the weekend, almost there!

Something New

Shoes! You can never have enough shoes! Shoes are one of those things that I am drawn to, and believe that my collection is never complete. I definitely try to buy shoes on sale or at Marshall's (one of my favorite shoe shopping destinations).

Here are three pairs that I recently acquired...
Dolce Vita

Cole Han with Nike Air soles (so comfy!)

Tory Burch
These shoes all came from Bloomingdales' after Christmas sale. What a bargain! (Thanks mom!) Have a great Tuesday!

Homemade Pasta

A few weeks back, Liz and I decided to make the men in our lives a special treat, homemade ravioli. Pasta is one of those foods that truly is better when it is homemade.  I know pasta is kind of a pain to make, but it is definitely worth it (especially if you are making it with a good friend).

I use the pasta maker that attaches to my Kitchen Aide Mix Master. That way, I don't have to crank the pasta maker; the machine does all of the heavy lifting.

We used this recipe from Wolfgang Puck for the filling and sauce and a Cook's Illustrated recipe for pasta dough. Pour yourself a glass of wine and get cooking! Happy Monday!

Paso Robles Pasolivo

While spending the weekend in Paso Robles, we not only tasted wine (one of my favorite past-times), but we went olive oil tasting as well. Pasolivo was great and I highly recommend visiting it if you are ever in Paso Robles. Not only are the olive oils delicious (pressed there), but they have a fantastic selection of vinegars, and salts.

My favorite vinegar was the Honey Muscato, DELICIOUS!

We left with Black Lava Salt

Aren't they cute?

A little late..New Years!

For New Year's I spent the weekend in Paso Robles with my boyfriend, mom and step-dad. I had a blast wine tasting, shopping, eating, and dancing.  Here are a few photos of what I wore (complete with a everyone's masks)!
AllSaints Dress

I think the black and silver mask is my favorite!

Happy New Year!!
